In honor of the World Series-
the Red Socks won- I am
reading _Mickey Mantle Day
in Amsterdam_ by Jim LaBate.
Jim does a fine job
of creating a seventh grade
character with a penchant for
baseball who has the grand
opportunity to play ball
with the great Mickey Mantle.
In a previous novella
_Let's Go Gaels_ Jim
writes a poignant work
that explores the pain
and complexities of a sibling's
death.
He gifted the novellas
to our group after hearing
about the "Very Good" Sticker.
